What is the EU REACH regulation registration?
The registration, evaluation, authorization, and restriction of chemicals regulation (hereinafter referred to as the REACH regulation), which was implemented by the European Union on June 1, 2008, is the primary obligation under this regulation. After successfully submitting a chemical substance registration dossier to the European Chemical Administration (ECHA), enterprises can obtain an 18 digit registration number. Enterprises that fail to complete registration before the corresponding deadline cannot continue to market their corresponding products in the European Union.
Registered substance scope:
Chemical substances placed on the EU market exceeding 1 ton/year;
Chemical composition exceeding 1 ton/year in the products launched on the EU market;
Chemical substances intentionally released from items placed on the EU market, with a total amount exceeding 1 ton/year.
Note: Intentionally released substances in an item: Substances intentionally released from an item under normal or reasonably foreseeable use, usually to achieve some auxiliary function of the item, such as aroma substances in rubber.
Registered entity:
Manufacturers of substances, preparations, and items within the EU:
Importers of substances, preparations, and items within the EU;
Manufacturers of non EU substances, preparations, and items must fulfill their registration obligations through the sole representative (OR) within the EU.
