The supply chain norms of our group are based on international human rights norms and standards, including the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Companies, the International Labour Organization Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, the Tripartite Declaration of Principles on Multinational Enterprises and Social Policy, and the ETI Basic Code.
Principle 1: We do not use any workers under the age of 14 or 15 years old (based on different countries) or below the minimum working age specified in their respective countries (whichever is older).
Principle 2: We do not use any form of forced labor (prison labor, debt labor, contract labor, or other forms of forced labor), and do not require employees to pay identity documents or deposits during employment.
Principle 3: We comply with local environmental, safety, and health laws and regulations. We provide employees with a safe and healthy working environment.
Principle 4: We respect the customs and habits of our country and do not discriminate against any worker of different backgrounds (including race, religious beliefs, disability, or gender).
Principle 5: We do not use or support the use of corporal punishment, mental/physical coercion, verbal abuse, or sexual harassment.
Principle 6: The salary we pay to each employee must at least meet the minimum wage or industry wide wage standards (whichever is higher) and provide statutory benefits to employees.
Principle 7: We comply with the laws and regulations related to working hours in our country.
Principle 8: We comply with all relevant environmental protection laws and regulations in our region. We are aware of all hazardous or toxic waste generated during the production process, and we are confident that these waste can be effectively treated through qualified treatment institutions.
Principle 9: We support the right of workers to freely form and join trade unions, and must not hinder their exercise of this right.
We realize that achieving joint work between male and female employees in certain communities is not feasible. However, we expect suppliers to ensure that their operations are legal and fair to all employees.
三、Important precautions for Argos factory inspection
1. Legitimacy of the company: Customers verify the legality and safety of the company by reviewing the company's business license, tax registration certificate, fire safety diagram, and other documents and data.
2. Child labor and underage labor: Guests are absolutely prohibited from hiring children under the age of 16. They are willing to hire underage workers between the ages of 16 and 18, but must have government approval and practical actions to ensure the physical and mental health of underage workers.
3. Discrimination: Customers do not allow companies to discriminate based on gender, race, age, religion, and other factors when hiring and promoting employees. Factory inspection personnel generally review all personnel personnel files, as well as personnel files and labor contracts that have left in the past 6 months.
4. Working hours: The company must ensure workers' rest time in accordance with local laws and regulations, with at least one day off per week and no more than 60 hours of work per week.
5. Labor remuneration: Employees who work overtime on weekdays and statutory holidays shall be paid their wages according to the salary rate stipulated by local laws, and their monthly wages shall not be lower than the local minimum wage standard. Customers usually check the attendance and salary distribution records of employees in the past 3 or 12 months.
