The retailers that have cooperated with UL WERCSmart include 36 large retailers, including Wal Mart, Amazon, CVS, Lowe's, Meijer, Target, Staples, Walgreens, Sam's Club, O'Reilly, Costco, Korger, Sears, etc. Nowadays, WERCSmart evaluates over $1 trillion in global product trade annually, helping enterprises continuously meet global regulatory and compliance requirements.
WERCS is a database company and a leading global supplier of green supply chain systems and chemical regulatory response software. Its software packages play an important role in helping customers manage product information and transmit hazard information. Now Wal Mart, TESCO Group and other giant supermarkets have been cooperating with them, aiming to require upstream suppliers to input their product information into the system for evaluation, so that downstream suppliers can grasp hazard information in a timely manner.
WERCS registration refers to the entry of relevant data on certain products (mainly products containing toxic chemicals or hazardous materials) into the official website of WERCS. This authoritative review and appraisal process facilitates cooperation between suppliers and retailers more simply and conveniently, and suppliers with registered WERCSmart are undoubtedly the preferred procurement targets for retailers.
