To determine whether the CRP model meets the requirements of this standard, the effectiveness evaluation of child resistance and advanced adult use should be conducted according to the complete or sequential protocol.
(1) Select Protocol
The testing protocol should be selected before testing begins. Changing the testing protocol is not allowed.
(2) Complete protocol testing
A complete protocol testing for the effectiveness of resistance in children and the effectiveness of advanced adult use should be conducted in accordance with Chapter 8. The results should be recorded and evaluated in accordance with the provisions of clauses 6 and 10. Instead of a complete solution, a sequential solution can be used.
(3) Sequential protocol testing
The sequential scheme is only applicable to children's resistance and advanced adult effectiveness testing, but not allowed
Execute in sequence. The sequential scheme testing should be carried out in accordance with Chapter 8. The results shall be recorded and evaluated in accordance with the provisions of Articles 6 and 9.
Note: Sequential protocol testing has been developed as an alternative to complete protocol testing. It reduced the number of children participating in the test by using statistical trend analysis.
(4) Similar models for evaluating child protective bags
Each model in the CRP series can be tested separately or according to the array specified in Chapter 11.
(5) Test items
5.1 Physical testing
5.2 Life testing
The life test (see section 12.3) should be conducted during the initial evaluation of the CRP model.
5.3 Leakage test
The leakage test shall comply with the following requirements (see Clause 12.4):
a) The experiment should be conducted during the initial evaluation of the CRP model and only applicable to CRP intended for liquid formulations.
b) When conducting tests in accordance with the provisions of Article 12.4, the pass/fail criteria in Table 2 and the applicable Table 3 apply.
