Summary of Certification Content
SONCAP Certification The Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON) is a government agency responsible for developing and implementing quality standards for imported and domestically manufactured products in Nigeria.
To ensure that controlled products comply with the approved technical standards or other international standards of the country, and to protect Nigerian consumers from unsafe or non compliant products, the Nigerian National Bureau of Standards has decided to implement the mandatory pre shipment conformity assessment procedure (SONCAP) for controlled products exported to the country.
Coverage product range:
1. All electrical and electronic products that could be
used by members of the public whether in their homes or otherwise e.g
in residential, office, retail, leisure etc environments. Examples
include, but are not limited to, household appliances, IT products,
communication products, lighting products, audio-visual products
